Proposed Bylaws

This webpage is devoted to the proposed new bylaws for the Crossbow entity. Material appearing herein will be updated from time to time as this project progresses and voting occurs on the new bylaws.

In order to achieve approval of the new bylaws, 75% of all owners must vote in favour, and a favourable vote must also reflect 75% of Unit Factors. If this is not achieved, the 2003 bylaws will remain in effect, but will be out-of-date with sections of the Alberta Condominium Property Act and related Regulation. In the event of disagreement between the bylaws and the Act, the Act prevails. If the bylaws do not pass, then owners will need to refer to up to three legal documents (Bylaws, Act and Regulation).

The work to develop the proposed bylaws was undertaken by a committee of owners over recent years, including the Boards of Crossbow Landing and Crossbow Point, and reflects the dedicated work of about 18 owners on behalf of all owners. The team's work included consideration of dialogue with owners at the various Town Halls, and such further input provided at AGM meetings and by correspondence to the Boards.
